Sunny in Qatar

Well...I'm quickly coming up on my first full week in Qatar--the countdown is on! I've actually got it pretty good here. My own room (after my first 2 nights) and though I have to walk to the bathroom, at least I don't have to leave the building. I also have my own office and vehicle. It's almost better than home (at least at work)! The food here is also fairly decent and you could really gain some pounds if you wanted to. So far I've been good and have bypassed the ice cream bar and wing bar each day.

The best thing so far...the weather. It's just a great time of the year to be here. Temps range from 50s-70s and it's sunny most of the time. I did get to experience my first duststorm the other day. Nothing like what Jim went through in Iraq but I wouldn't want to spend too much time outside breathing the stuff in. Still, this will be over shortly and you'll soon hear me complaining about temps over 100 with lots of humidity. I can't wait!

Thanks for everyone for helping take care of Jim. Can't wait to see you all in a few months!

Andra
