Good Things

Tonight, we celebrated Mr. Jim's actual birthday with an informal dinner of bang bang shrimp, bread and wine. In lieu of birthday cake, we had Bailey's. Here is a picture of your handsome and adoring husband toasting his birthday! We sure do wish you had been here with us for our humble little finale to the Jim/Alan birthday festival month. Every event without you is kind of like french fries with no salt and ketchup (or mayo, depending on which side of the Atlantic your bread is buttered on) - good but nowhere close to what it could and should be!

Speaking of good things, I wanted to share some pictures of my new friend, Skyler. She is a bit of a pill and a little bit neurotic. (Does that remind you of anyone you know?) But we are working together to get beyond those things and help her find her inner horse. She gets over the bit a lot (like Beaumont does sometimes) and likes to buck when she is trying to be the rider instead of the horse. It has been a great workout for those core muscles! On the happy side, she bends and flexes like a champ. I think she will be a different (and happier) horse in another month!

We sure do miss you. I cannot wait until you are home to share all these moments with us!
